Destiny Church Wakefield is located right next to Pinderfields Hospital site close to Wakefield City Centre, Eastmoor, City Fields, College Grove and Pinders Heath. Its a very short walk from town and the main bus station and there are also great connecting bus routes (being next-door to Pinderfields hospital really helps!), its also only a 10-15 min walk from either of the main train stations in Wakefield. You’ll be surprised how close to town we really are, and whilst we’re not on the main road, there are plenty of signs and stewards to help you every Sunday morning.

Our Building – Restored Historic Victorian Theatre
Destiny is located on the former Stanley Royd Hospital grounds and the main theatre space was the combined dinning hall and recreation hall for the hospital – it was built in 1859. It is a grade 2 listed building and has undergone extensive modernisation and renovation to now make it one of the best and largest communication/presentation/Church spaces in Wakefield comfortably seating between 500-700 people in the main hall. There is also a minor hall, our mid floor and top floor rooms along with converted rooms behind the stage and our administrative offices.
