Sunday Worship Service
Our main service takes place on Sunday morning at 10AM – its a great opportunity to be able to engage in vibrant worship together as a family. There are children items and a full children’s “Sunday School” programme too. You’ll be inspired by a great sermon from the Bible, and have the opportunity to meet and fellowship with the hundreds of people that make up the diverse yet together Destiny family.
Destiny Children’s Ministry
We love children at Destiny – so we have an excellent programme for the children led by our Youth and Children’s Pastor (Steve Keates) and a great Team of experienced leaders (all DBS approved).
- Children on Sunday Morning
We have aged Groups from the babies and toddler in our fully equipped crèche (with TV link to the main service) and groups up to include our 12 year olds. The kids love it – it’s lots of fun! There is also usually a kids spot (called ‘High 5’) during the first part of the main service. Tell your children to look out for ‘Buddy’ our Destiny mascot bear!

On the last two or three weeks of the month our local Fellowship Groups meet all across the city. These Fellowship Groups are led by good caring couples who give pastoral care and encourage their Group to grow strong in their faith. For more information on where these Groups meet please contact the Church. It is our hope that everyone at Destiny is strongly connected with a Fellowship Group – it’s part of our plan for you to feel part of the Destiny family, your discipleship and pastoral care. Missions are an important part of the ministry of Destiny Church Wakefield. The people at Destiny Church have generously enabled Missions to go ahead and some incredible offerings have meant that projects to build churches and orphanages in Malawi and a church/Bible School facility in India have been undertaken that have made a real difference to the lives of so many people and orphans. Most years a team of people travel to one of the Destiny Connections Church overseas to encourage a local church and help them with a project. Our aim is to help then ‘go further faster!’
