Destiny Church Wakefield has an exciting programme for Youth - it is anything but boring!
We want to be able to reach out to young people to show them just how relevant and needed Jesus is in their generation. Packaged amongst a very friendly exciting games filled evening is a relevant life message based on biblical principles. There are often great discussions where people can explore ideas and develop thoughts in a safe structured environment, whilst developing great friends and finding out that being a Christian means getting the most out of life!
Destiny Youth typically meets on Sunday evenings and we open the doors at 7.00 pm for half an hour of chill out and time to enjoy the tuck shop, listening to our band, playing pool, enjoying messing on the wii, beating the youth leaders at table tennis or just relaxing and developing lasting relationships.
The main programme of the evening gets underway at 7:30 pm with upfront games, group games, activities, and a relevant life topic in a non-threatening way. We usually finish at 9.00 pm, when the tuck and other activities are available till the doors close at 9:30 pm.

Wesley Critchley
I have a real passion to want to help young people find a real relationship with Jesus. I've been involved with leading the youth here at Destiny now for over 10 years, and am excited about what God has done here, and for the future God has got planned for us.
Ok, so a little about me - I've got a degree in electronics so love everything gadgetry especially my Blackberry! I'm always up for a challenge and am quite competetive, but enjoy being beat by genuine skill. I regularly go-cart, and love driving and messing around with my car - when I get the chance.
I'm married to Annette who also leads the youth and is a Nurse at Pinderfields Hospital. Annette loves to shop - who doesn't but its usually all Wes' money!

I am passionate about helping people see their dreams fulfilled! I love Nottingham Forest, my Family.
My fav food is Pizza and I once dated the girl with the longest legs in Britain (according to the Daily Mail)! Fact!
Rob Finch
Rob is one of the youth leaders at Destiny. He came to Destiny at the start of 2006 and quickly developed a role of responsibility within the church. he is an imaginative and enthusiastic person and an aspiring screenwriter, with a degree in Creative Writing from the near-by Bretton Hall.
Rob was raised in a Christian family in Hertfordshire but moved to Wakefield to go to university in 2004, and has since then learned what it is like to live full-on for God.
He is mad about film and also loves all things related to video. He heads up the church's DVD ministry programme and also runs a separate creative/media group for young people in the church.
Rob is always up for getting involved with whatever is happening and is great fun to be around.
