Destiny Church Wakefield - Where everyone is welcome and everyone has a future
Destiny Connections

DESTINY CONNECTIONS are the friendships and partnering of churches and ministries who through mutual encouragement and support, help give security, accountability and shared resources to enable the Church of Jesus Christ, and those whom God has called to serve Him, to grow, to be healthy and effective. It’s a great family of churches!

There are now about 600 active DESTINY CONNECTIONS working in the UK, India, Malawi, Zambia and The Czech Republic- seeking to serve and progress the work of God in whatever way we can. Missions are a vital part of the ministry of Destiny Church Wakefield. This represents our response to help meet the needs of a hurting world. The people of Destiny Church have generously enabled Missions to go ahead and some incredible offerings have meant that projects in places like Malawi and India have been undertaken that have made a real difference to the lives of many people.

INDIA

Jaipur, in Rajasthan, is called the ' Pink City ' and is home to Pastor Rajesh Malaki, (Destiny Connections - India Director). This is the main 'hub' church from where Destiny is working in India to serve more than 500 churches throughout Northern and Central India and our Bible College - Destiny Bible Institute. Ian and Rachel Critchley often travel to India to encourage the churches and lead Conferences for Pastors from across Northern and Central India. Destiny Church Wakefield also sends Mission Teams to India to support the work and help in the construction of buildings and other initiatives in that vast country. Destiny Bible Institute is the Bible College in Jaipur where those who feel the call of God for full-time ministry are being trained. There are currently 15 young men on our full-time course at DBI in Jaipur. The Destiny Foundation is our NGO (a United Nations approved charity) working in India to facilitate a number of caring programmes, including building a day-care centre for community outreach, providing a literacy programme for ladies, tackling the challenge of finding clean water in the surrounding desert etc.
MALAWI

'Mission to Malawi' Teams have helped support the building of a Church, a Community Centre and the Destiny Orphanage in Blantyre, one of the poorest countries on earth. Partnering with Pastor Geoffrey Matoga (Faith of God Churches), Pastor Wyson Tembo (All Nations Churches) and other church leaders, and working through several dozen local churches, Destiny has been able to resource, help and encourage a number of compassionate initiatives including providing grain during times of famine, supporting local Pastors and the building of the Destiny Orphanage to house 50 children who have been the victims of the rampant AIDS epidemic in that country. The main Church in Blantyre, Malawi is an outstanding example of what can be done in a country that is poor, often hungry through famine and the effects of AIDS - yet here is a beacon of hope, a church has arisen which is making a difference to the lives of thousands of Malawians.
 THE DESTINY ORPHANAGE MALAWI

This has been a major project to help build this house for orphans in Blantyre, Malawi. It is now open and providing hope, health and a home for many children who would otherwise be destitute.

You can ‘sponsor’ the Destiny Orphanage with a small regular monthly gift, or a one-off gift – contact us and we will send you an information pack about our work at Destiny Orphanage Malawi.

THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Destiny Mission Teams have been going to The Czech Republic since the early 1990’s to hold evangelistic meetings, support and encourage local Czech Christian churches through our friendship with Pastor Slavek Zajicek from Mlada Boleslav. The teams have produced a varied programme including crusades, outreaches to young people, working to refurbish a school playground and English language schools. You can get involved in these missions by going, praying and giving!

ZAMBIA

Pastor Eddie & Lubi Chanza lead Lifeline Community Church in Lusaka and head out a small network of churches in Zambia. Pastor Ian and Rachel Critchley have known them for some years now and visited Zambia in 2008. Destiny Connections now reaches out to serve and help progress this ministry.
