Sunday Services are held in our newly acquired building at Parklands (nr Pinderfields) at 10am. This enormous restored building was previously a Theatre and houses one of only two existing Victorian stages in the UK .
The Sunday Service starts at 10am and usually lasts for about one and a half hours, during which we have great worship, singing and music, perhaps some testimonies about God's goodness and relevant preaching of the Word of God to build strong, mature Christians. During the service the children have their own specialised groups - and afterwards we enjoy fellowship and a cup of tea or coffee.
The first Wednesday of each month is House of Prayer - a corporate prayer meeting for all the church. The second Wednesday of each month is a Bible Teaching Evening - for systematic teaching. For the other weeks of each month there are locally based Fellowship Groups in homes at locations across the City.
We have lots of Fellowship Groups all across the city which provide the opportunity to get together. These are led by good caring couples who are there to give pastoral care and help each person in their group to grow strong in their faith. For more information on where these Groups meet please contact the Church.
Daytime Destiny is an opportunity for people to get together during the day for a variety of different reasons, including outings, prayer, Bible study and fellowship. Recent outings have been made to Haworth, Whitby , and more locally to Newmillerdam and Pugneys. It is one of the ways in which Destiny aims to help those who otherwise may feel lonely, and give them an opportunity to get involved with other people and make good friendships.
Now we have our own building we want to start again our Destiny Toddlers & Mum's - a time for young children to enjoy a safe environment in which to play and be supervised by people they know and feel safe with, as well as giving Mums the opportunity to share and support one another.
Destiny Players is the drama team which presents both short and major productions which help to present aspects of the Christian message in a dramatic way. Past productions include "Shannon", "Scrooge", "A Lad In A Manger", "Believe" and "Narnia". Diane Rose is the guiding light and motivator of this exciting and talented group.
